PPP Business “HIROBAs”

City of Nagoya PPP Business Sakae Bus Terminal - HIROBAs

On Saturday, February 22, 2020, "Mitsukoshimae HIROBAs" opened on the site of the former Sakae Bus Terminal in Hisaya Odori Park, Nagoya City.

Following Meijo Park (North Garden) Tonarino, in February 2019, Chubu Doboku, together with Chunichi Shimbun (Representative Constituent Organization), Sankosha, Dentsu, and Mitsukoshi was selected as the best proposer in a proposal competition for the project to utilize the site of former Sakae Bus Terminal (South Fountain Platform) in Nagoya.

The concept is "A place for attracting and interacting with customers and everyone who gathers there can be a hero".

The name HIROBAs expresses the memory of the Sakae Bus Terminal and the desire to create a new “open space for everyone”, in which the people who gather here become heroes.

Facilities such as Tokyo Mercato (Italian BBQ/restaurant) where you can see the TV tower directly in front, Family Mart, etc. In the plaza, there is a 70m mini truck made of cork heat-shielding pavement Dream Cork ( Patent Acquired by ChubuDoboku Co.Ltd,.), artificial turf, etc. We are planning to create a comfortable park space with a public viewing so that everyone can support the athletes during the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics from July to September.
